Previously, upgrades for SugarCRM were relatively small in size. However, with the pace at which the industry is evolving, the changes being made to the application to streamline processes, provide the best possible user experience and knowing how users actually interact with application have made the size of the upgrade file and time it takes to process much longer (but still not unbearable).
If you’re managing a SugarCRM system on your own (the system is being hosted by Sugar or by a hosting partner), then you may run into problems when upgrading such as configuration issues – it may just seem like nothing is happening at all during the upgrade.
We’ll now look at what happens if the default installation of Sugar has trouble being upgraded. This is particularly the case when using HostMonster, or any other hosting provider (apart from Sugar themselves, or a SugarCRM hosting partner).
